Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with established protocols.
- Welcome and prepare patients for their appointments.
- Collect and document vital signs, medical history, and current health concerns.
- Administer prescribed medications and vaccinations.
- Conduct routine diagnostic tests and EKGs.
- Coordinate patient scheduling for tests and ensure follow-up on results.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Accurately record patient care plans and outcomes.
- Engage with patients to discuss their treatment and test outcomes.
- Report any unusual circumstances to the healthcare provider.
- Complete safety and quality assurance checklists.
- Uphold patient safety and confidentiality standards.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant program is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is essential.
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 30 days of employment.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records is advantageous.
