About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Outside Sales Representative to join our team at Airgas, an Air Liquide Company. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Develop and execute sales plans to achieve business objectives and grow revenue.
  2. Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through effective communication, problem-solving, and solution-providing skills.
  3. Conduct market research and analyze customer data to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior outside business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven success in solution-selling concepts and managing customers throughout a defined sales territory.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with industrial and specialty gases, industrial gas/welding supply sales a plus.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and ability to prioritize targeting customers delivering the highest value to Airgas.
  • Proven success using a consultative sales approach providing multiple layers of value to a customer to establish a mix of sales solutions and products.
Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent local travel (75% of work time) and occasional overnight travel. You must have reliable, appropriate transportation, and be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
