Classification: Non-ExemptReports To: Farm Data Services and Senior Data AnalystSummary/ObjectiveWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to manage and input aquaculture-related data into our databases. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in inputting, analyzing, and maintaining data related to the growth, production, water quality, and sustainability metrics within our tracking programs. This role supports key operations, including tracking production, monitoring environmental factors, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.Essential Functions:
  • Accurately enter data related to aquaculture production and environmental monitoring.
  • Verify and correct data inconsistencies or errors.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of water quality, fish health, and feed usage and relevant KPIs.
  • Generate regular reports for management.
  • Collaborate with farm personnel to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Other duties as required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • The ability to walk through and navigate through an aquaculture farm environment.
  • This role requires walking, lifting, bending, twisting, and standing.
  • Fine hand and wrist movement on a regular basis.
Work Environment
  • This job operates in an office environment with exposure to weather and elements on occasion.
  • The position includes the use of office equipment including phones, computer, fax, copier, and the ability to help others with this equipment.
  • Operates in a work environment of innovative and sustainability-driven practices.
  • Employee will be exposed to extreme temperature changes both hot and cold due to weather changes.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis position is Full-Time with expected hours of 30-40 hours per week, generally Monday - Friday, but may include some weekends. Overtime may be required depending on work demands.TravelThis position may require local travel for training and/or travel between farm sites.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Competency in general mathematics.
  • Competency in general use of computers and programs.
  • Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or related software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good typing speed and familiarity with database systems.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data entry experience or related experience.
  • MS 360 experience and general Excel experience.
  • Outlook and MS Teams experience for meetings and communication.
  • Knowledge of aquaculture and general aquaculture KPIs.
  • Ten key experience.
