2D Pipe Checker Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled 2D Pipe Checker to join one of our clients in Marinette, WI. This is a 100% on-site role with relocation assistance available. Work hours are Monday-Friday 7am-3pm.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Checking diagrams and designs in 2D AutoCAD
  • Viewing SPECs in 2D AutoCAD and checking these drawings for NAVSEA compliance and to meet end customers' requirements
Requirements:
  • ShipConstructor or Navis software experience
  • At least 510 years of 2D checker experience
  • Experience reviewing 2D drawings for completeness, design accuracy, operational integrity, conformance, specifications, and industry standards
  • Proficient working in AutoCAD 2D, 3D design
  • Ability to create 2D models of maritime piping systems from scratch using CAD software
  • Maritime industry experience: military ships or submersibles or commercial ships
