Job Summary:

MRI Technologist - Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

About the Job:

Ascension Providence is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team in Waco, Texas. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies. You will work closely with our radiologists and healthcare team to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.

Responsibilities:

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of the body

Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures

Select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images

Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination

Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, and develop film in an automatic processor

Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS

Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms

Requirements:

BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date

One or more of the following certifications: Nuclear Medical Tech, Radiologic Technologist (MRI), Medical Sonographer, or Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
