Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) to join our team. As a CRNFA, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons during operations, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during operations, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the sterile operative field.
- Coordinate patient positioning, using body stabilizing equipment to provide optimal exposure for procedures.
- Prepare and apply sterile wound dressings, and apply sutures, staples, or clips to close skin, fascia, or subcutaneous wound layers.
- Discuss surgical procedures with surgeons, including operative consent, methods of operative exposure, and patient-advanced directives.
- Assess skin integrity and other body conditions upon completion of procedures to determine if damage has occurred from body positioning.
- Assist with patient resuscitation during cardiac arrest or other life-threatening events.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience working in an ambulatory or surgical setting.
- Possess an ability to function in a high-stress, physically demanding setting.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.).
- Exemplary customer service experience, including client relationships and job knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise manual dexterity, control precision, and arm-hand steadiness accurately.
- Ability to be empathetic with patients and maintain confidentiality.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee must be able to communicate and follow directions well. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
