Job Summary:

Mead Lumber is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our production team. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, precise, and efficient assembly of wood and metal components according to design measurements and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and Fabrication: Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig in accordance with design measurements and specifications.
  • Component Joining: Join wood component members together utilizing staple gun.
  • Quality Control: Accurately measure dimension to ensure accuracy and quality of build in accordance with design.
  • Component Placement: Place metal connector plate components at joints for permanent application in accordance with design.
  • Product Completion: Ensure the product is constructed accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Product Shipping: Send finished product to packaging/shipping section of the production line.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Measurement Skills: Ability to read or learn to read a tape measure.
  • Physical Demands: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
