Job Summary:
Mead Lumber is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our production team. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, precise, and efficient assembly of wood and metal components according to design measurements and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Fabrication: Accurately place pre-cut wood component members onto jig in accordance with design measurements and specifications.
- Component Joining: Join wood component members together utilizing staple gun.
- Quality Control: Accurately measure dimension to ensure accuracy and quality of build in accordance with design.
- Component Placement: Place metal connector plate components at joints for permanent application in accordance with design.
- Product Completion: Ensure the product is constructed accurately, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Product Shipping: Send finished product to packaging/shipping section of the production line.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Measurement Skills: Ability to read or learn to read a tape measure.
- Physical Demands: Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
