Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tai Chi/Qigong Instructor to join our team in a part-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for adapting classes for individuals with complex medical conditions and ensuring a safe and supportive class environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt Tai Chi/Qigong classes for individuals with complex medical conditions, including those using assistive devices.
- Arrive on time and ensure classes are well-organized.
- Keep records of the participants' progress and any important information.
- Work with people from various backgrounds, including those with health challenges.
- Follow guidelines and ensure a safe and supportive class environment.
Requirements:
- Completion of a minimum of 150 hours of formal Tai Chi or Qigong Instructor education, including 50 hours of supervised instruction.
- Certification to provide Tai Chi or Qigong instruction, with a minimum of 30 hours of instruction.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalency.
- Experience teaching Tai Chi or Qigong to vulnerable populations, including those with emotional and physical trauma.
Education: A minimum of 150 hours of formal Tai Chi or Qigong Instructor education is required, including 50 hours of supervised instruction.
Certifications: Certification to provide Tai Chi or Qigong instruction, with a minimum of 30 hours of instruction, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalency are required.
