We are seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at SSM Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Services: Take x-rays of designated parts of the human body for diagnostic purposes and provide support for the imaging department.
- Patient Care: Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding, provide educational material, and transport patients to and from clinical areas.
- Radiation Safety: Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to prevent patient exposure to unnecessary radiation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report any potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Quality Control: Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS, and monitor protocols for updates or refinements.
- Education: Associate's degree or completion of a radiology certification program.
- Experience: No experience required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA), ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Radiographer, Licensed - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
This is a full-time day shift position with 40 scheduled weekly hours.
