About the Role: The Mental Health Association is seeking a dedicated Residential Recovery Specialist to support individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. This role involves creating a safe environment that fosters recovery, empowerment, and respect for diversity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer daily emotional guidance and encouragement to residents.
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Facilitate daily living activities such as meal preparation and household upkeep.
  • Promote recovery-focused activities and community engagement among residents.
  • Maintain supportive relationships and employ a trauma-informed approach to care.
Working Schedule:

We have openings for specific shifts, including:

  • 2nd Shift (35 hours/week)
    • Sun-Tues 3pm-11pm, Weds 12pm-1pm (must attend meeting)
  • 2nd Shift (30 hours/week)
    • Sun-Tues 2pm-11pm, Weds 12pm-3pm (must attend meeting)
We estimate a $45,000-$50,000 annual salary based on industry standards and location.Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in mental health or substance use fields, is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with residents from diverse backgrounds are essential.
  • Certifications in Medication Administration (MAP), CPR, and first aid are required.
  • A valid driver's license, sufficient auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are necessary for the role.
