About the Role

The Application Lead Developer will analyze, design, develop, and maintain web-based My Banking/cash portal in an IaaS+ (Infrastructure as a Service) cloud environment using Java-J2EE, REST Web services, Oracle, React JS, Redux, Hadoop, Ajax, Autosys, and GIT. As a lead developer, you will provide direction to more junior developers/global team/contractors and take position of lead developer on projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Development Lead, you will be responsible for:
  • Analyzing and developing solutions to client needs as a developer lead within a team following the agile development approach.
  • Representing the team on all major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.
  • Managing efforts within the agile team and outside agile to ensure tasks are completed successfully by deadlines.
  • Designing and developing database objects using Oracle, ensuring proper performance tuning.
  • Understanding user needs and putting forth options for solutions.
  • Anticipating critical issues and risks, taking responsibility for resolution.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Java Development, with expertise in Java-J2EE, Web services, React JS, and Oracle DB.
  • Experience in Hadoop or any other file-based data store.
  • Implementation and development experience in UI frameworks.
  • A good understanding of design patterns and architecture, along with exposure to MQ & messaging.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be open to discussion of potential options.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in debugging and resolving production issues.
  • Demonstrated solid knowledge of the overall software development life cycle, including development, testing, and deployment of all application modules.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in Fin-Tech/Banking domain and a strong understanding of the industry.
