Department: Radiology

Shift Schedule: 12:00-21:00 Hours, Monday to Friday (4 days/10 Hours)

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Weekend Requirements: every other weekend
  • Call: minimum of 4 call shifts per month
  • Qualifications: RT(R), IN state license
  • Uniform: Pewter
    Equipment: Siemens Tosrad, Siemens SIreskop, GE Portable, GE OEC C-arms, ALlscripts, Sectra
  • Technologists rotate through department & OR, providing services to outpatients, inpatients, and emergency department. Patient demographics range from newborns to geriatrics, with a variety of examinations performed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct x-ray examinations for inpatient, emergency, and operating room service lines.
  • Prepare examination rooms for patient procedures.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to achieve clear, usable images.
  • Position patients and equipment, clearly explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Input commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, while monitoring video displays to adjust density or contrast.
  • Monitor patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and adhering to protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Generate diagnostic images, relay critical information to the physician, and update patient records accordingly.
  • Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and manage radiographic supplies.
  • Perform administrative duties, including addressing technical inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing pre-procedure guidance.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) training
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Active, unencumbered Radiology Tech license in Kentucky
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Radiology Tech
  • At least one year of experience with Epic
  • Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology
  • ARRT Certification
