Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Helper to assist mechanics with fabrication, assembly, installation, and repairs of sheet metal products, ductwork, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up tools and equipment for efficient work processes
  • Load and unload construction materials from trucks and into buildings
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, restocking supplies and materials as needed
  • Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials and devices during installation
  • Develop technical skills through internal training programs and/or an Apprenticeship Program
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months construction or customer service experience and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
  • Knowledge of trade-related hand tools
  • Ability to multitask, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to complete additional background checks
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Be available to report to multiple job sites as assigned
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in varying temperatures, both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
  • Work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
  • Be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including dust
  • Work in confined spaces or from high heights
Travel
  • May require travel, typically not overnight
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years' sheet metal experience
  • Prior military experience a plus
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent
