We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Psychiatrist to join our team at Central Regional Hospital. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct patient care to an assigned patient caseload, working closely with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric assessments, including medical and psychiatric history, review of systems, and evaluation of mental, emotional, behavioral, and social status
- Treat medical and psychiatric problems, including use of pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, and other treatment modalities
- Function as leader of treatment team, conducting treatment team meetings, and leading the development of comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment plans
- Coordinate and integrate overall care of patients, interpreting and integrating reports by other professionals
- Order appropriate tests and consults, document patient care rendered, and coordinate and supervise discharge plans
This is a full-time position, eligible for the full state benefits package, including health insurance, paid holidays, sick and vacation leave, and retirement. The normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility required to meet patient needs.
Requirements- Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of psychiatry residency (or anticipated completion before job commencement)
- Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to child/adolescent patients, as credentialed by the Medical Staff
- Considerable knowledge of inpatient psychiatry, knowledge of the theories and general practices of medicine, and thorough knowledge of biological, social, and psychological developmental processes at all ages
- Board certification in Psychiatry
Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements. The sign-on bonus is contingent upon budget and final eligibility determination as of the effective date of hire.
