Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
  • Repair and maintain vehicles using advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques
  • Document work completed on a Fleet Management Information System
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely and effective vehicle maintenance
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry advancements
Requirements:
  • Four years of experience in the trade, including apprenticeship and/or vocational training
  • Possess or obtain within 60 days of employment a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with necessary endorsements
  • Possess or obtain within 6 months the necessary refrigeration license required for repairing vehicle AC systems
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ASE Certifications in Light-Duty/Automotive and Medium/Heavy Duty Truck Series or approved equivalent
  • Meet the institutional standards for motor vehicle driving record history and related safety policies
  • Participate in the required Federal drug and alcohol-testing program for safety-sensitive employees
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an automotive/heavy-duty vehicle repair shop
  • Experience in automotive electronic troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of current automotive technologies
  • Experience working in an environment with a database work order system
