Mental Health Technician - Adult Inpatient Psych

Job Summary:

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center LLC is seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our Adult Inpatient Psych team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and support to patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient observation and rounds to monitor progress and report observations to staff.
  • Assist staff with patient care while following treatment plans and develop a therapeutic relationship with patients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Provide appropriate supervision of patients' activities and ensure safety monitoring of patients on the unit.
  • Process admissions belongings and complete documentation in the EMR system.
  • Facilitate patient groups and work collaboratively with the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Float to all units as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in psychology or human services field preferred.
  • Previous PCT/PCA, CNA, or Medical Assistant experience required; Bachelor's degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
