The Customer Service Team Member will ensure a welcoming and efficient checkout process. This role involves managing customer exchanges, returns, and addressing concerns while empowering Cashiers to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate a swift and effective checkout experience by utilizing the cash register and scanner to accurately process and total customer purchases while bagging items.
  • Address customer exchanges, returns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Act as a resource for cashiers by assisting with transactions, resolving discrepancies, and troubleshooting any cash register issues.
  • Engage with customers in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a pleasant interaction throughout the transaction.
  • Exhibit an outgoing personality and a passion for working with people.
  • Process various monetary transactions, including cash, checks, gift cards, and credit/debit cards.
  • Promote the Extended Protection Policy for eligible items.
  • Communicate effectively with the Manager on Duty and merchandise teams regarding out-of-stock items at checkout and front entrances.
  • Maintain knowledge of store offerings to assist customers with inquiries.
  • Efficiently restock items and ensure that the assigned area is consistently presentable.
  • Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for all customers.
  • Positively promote Fleet Farm's customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
  • Familiarity with basic cash handling procedures and simple mathematics is required.
