This is a great opportunity to work on challenging projects and develop your skills in industrial electrical systems. We offer a competitive salary of $32-$37 per hour, depending on experience.

In this role, you'll work under the supervision of a Project Manager or Industrial Supervisor, performing various tasks related to the layout and installation of industrial electrical systems. Your duties will include:

  • Providing 24-hour on-call support, rotating shifts, and assisting other technicians during their scheduled rotations;
  • Installing branch power, lighting, and distribution systems from construction drawings;
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems using appropriate test equipment;
  • Conducting on-the-job training for apprentices;
  • Safeguarding and maintaining Company equipment, materials, tools, and vehicles;
  • Collaborating with subcontractors and outside services to ensure Tri-M policies and procedures are followed;
  • Ensuring hazardous environments are understood and protocol is followed;
  • Installing PLCs, motor controls, cable, and cable trays in classified areas;
  • Operating multi-meters, voltage meters, rotation meters, and meggers on various projects;
  • Requisitioning materials;
  • Administering small projects as assigned;

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalency;
  • A minimum of six years of experience in the electrical or building automation trade;
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in an industrial environment;
  • Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program and the ability to obtain a Maryland and Delaware Electrical Journeyperson License;
  • A good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC);
  • The ability to read, understand, and effectively apply construction drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics;
  • A good mechanical aptitude;
  • Proficient computer literacy, including word processing, working with spreadsheets, processing emails, and data entry;
  • Knowledge of electrical trade and applicable building and electrical codes, including PLCs, motor controls, cable, cable tray installations, and classified areas;
  • Confidence, decisiveness, self-motivation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location/office;
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record;
  • The ability and willingness to purchase Company-required personal tools and maintain them in good condition;
  • The ability and willingness to drive Company vehicles as needed;
  • The ability and willingness to travel regionally to job sites as needed;
