About the Role

The Survey Manager position at Actalent is a key role that requires strong leadership skills and expertise in surveying. As a Survey Manager, you will be responsible for managing clients, projects, and leading a team of survey professionals and technicians. This role involves engaging with internal and external clients, ensuring adherence to quality control procedures, preparing scope and fee proposals, and recommending change orders when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Engagement: Engage with internal and external clients for survey-related projects, including ODOT, City of Columbus, developers, architects, and civil designers.
• Quality Control: Ensure adherence to quality control procedures as necessary.
• Proposal Preparation: Prepare scope and fee proposals for projects.
• Scope Understanding: Understand required survey and R/W scope and recommend change orders when needed.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team of survey professionals and technicians to effectively collect and process survey data.
• Communication: Effectively communicate information to staff and the leadership team.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise, problem-solving, and training to develop staff.
