Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors that may affect their ability to perform daily activities.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans: Create personalized treatment plans to address specific challenges and goals, including exercises, activities, and adaptations to enhance independence and function.
  • Implementation and Education: Work directly with clients to implement treatment plans, educate them and their families about their condition, treatment strategies, and ways to manage daily activities more effectively.
  • Collaboration and Adaptation: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care. Recommend and teach the use of adaptive techniques and assistive devices to help individuals overcome challenges and perform tasks independently.
  • Mental Health Support: Work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges to develop coping strategies, improve social skills, and enhance overall mental well-being.
  • Occupational Settings: Assess and modify work environments to promote safety and productivity for employees.
Qualifications
  • Valid Occupational Therapy Certification in the state of practice
  • 1 year recent Occupational Therapy experience in a rehab setting
  • BLS Certification
