Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Assist in the individualized care of patients, promoting their adaptation to the disease process and achieving the highest level of wellness
  • Maintain consistency with Administrative and Departmental policies, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
  • Comply with conditions of employment, including dress code policy and limitations on non-emergency personal telephone calls
  • Support the nursing process by providing information for the development of the plan of care
  • Review and utilize diagnostic data, medical orders, and nursing assessment to provide continuity of care
  • Set priorities for patient care based on acuity and/or patient/family preference
  • Accurately report and document patient symptoms, responses, and status to reflect the nursing care plan
  • Safely perform and document nursing procedures required by patient assignment
  • Promote and participate in patient/family education and counseling based on health needs
Requirements
  • Successful completion of LVN/LPN training
  • Prefer 6 months of clinical practice in an acute care environment
  • Maintain current state licensure and provide verification
