Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our team at The Chautauqua Center. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality and cost-effective primary care services to our patient population, meeting their diverse health and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete examinations of patients, including adults, children, and infants.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic conditions, and participate in disease registry.
- Screen patients for health maintenance needs, including immunizations.
- Educate patients and family members in health promotion, disease prevention, and birth control methods as appropriate.
- Assist in preparation and selection of patient education materials.
- Initiate diagnostic studies and refer abnormal results to the Medical Director or specialist.
- Help coordinate the efficient flow of patients through the system of care.
- Monitor the status of referrals.
- Obtain and review patient histories and develop patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Help facilitate the creation and tracking of patient data, specimens, and records.
- Practice safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
- Provide triage services and treatment services during disasters, per protocol.
- Maintain hospital privileges as designated by The Chautauqua Center.
- Share a call schedule with other providers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by The Chautauqua Center.
Requirements:
- Licensed to work in the state of New York as a Medical Doctor.
- Board Certification.
- CPR certified.
- Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a primary care clinic.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- A valid State Driver's license with a clean record and access to an insured automobile.
