Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiography Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate complex diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Participate in IR procedures, including CT-guided procedures, vascular surgery, and endoscopic interventions, under the guidance of attending physicians.
  • Maintain aseptic conditions, prepare patients for procedures, and participate in cases, adhering to infection control policies and manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Scrub in as a second operator as needed, assisting primary physicians with catheter/wire management, contrast administration, and case expediting.
  • Calibrate and verify equipment operation, notify appropriate personnel of malfunctions, and perform trouble-shooting and repair processes.
  • Network CT exam data, segment exams when necessary, and transmit images to PACS, utilizing advanced software for overlay, needle-guidance, and fusion as needed.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage, including urgent and routine case types.
  • Acknowledge and participate in research programs, quality assurance, and quality improvement projects within the department.
Requirements
  • Radiography RT license in the state of MA, R.T(R)
  • Radiography CT license in the state of MA, R.T.(CT)
  • ARRT certification
  • BLS certification
  • Preferred: R.T.(VI) or (CV) certification
