Your primary responsibility will be to provide continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients, ensuring their environment is free of obstacles and minimizing the risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct observation and monitoring of high-risk patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to establish a safe and risk-free patient environment, utilizing knowledge of fall prevention protocols, infection control measures, and self-harm prevention.
- Accompany patients during transportation, testing, and procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Document patient status and activity during the shift, providing clear and accurate information to the healthcare team.
- Perform other duties as needed, including transporting patients, delivering equipment and supplies, and assisting nursing staff with tasks such as answering phones and assisting visitors.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
