Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Preventative Care: Conduct thorough physical examinations, administer vaccinations, and provide preventative care to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
- Diagnose and Treat Diseases: Utilize your expertise to diagnose and treat a range of diseases and injuries in pets, including surgical procedures and medication administration.
- Communicate with Clients: Educate clients on preventative care, pet health needs, and any diagnoses or treatments, ensuring they are informed and empowered to make the best decisions for their pets.
- Collaborate with Veterinary Team: Work closely with our veterinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD): Must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- State Veterinary Board License: Must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the applicable state.
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License: Must hold a DEA license to administer controlled substances.
- Basic Surgical Skills: Must possess basic surgical skills, including the use of standard medical instruments and equipment.
