Job Title: MRI Tech Aide

Bozeman Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Tech Aide to join our team in Outpatient Imaging. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our MRI services.

Job Summary:

The MRI Tech Aide is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our radiologists and technologists during MRI procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist radiologists and technologists with MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare patients for exams, provide comfort during procedures, and supervise patients post-procedure.
  • Verify orders, lab results, and pharmacy reviews for every patient prior to appointment, and facilitate corrections or gathering of information as needed.
  • Complete or verify orders for billing and PACS system, ensuring accurate interpretation.
  • Assist with making follow-up appointments and manage same-day add-on scheduling for patients.
  • Ensure efficient department workflow, exam room turn-around, and order management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
  • 1 year of office environment or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Nursing Aide or Certified Medical Assistant.
  • 1 year of healthcare, radiology, imaging, or medical field experience.
  • 1 year of medical billing, reception, scheduling, or patient care experience.
Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling: Lift 30 pounds of weight, carry equipment/supplies.
  • Extended hours: Work for extended periods, sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
  • Flexible schedule: Work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call availability: Respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
Exposures:

Job tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, various chemicals and medications, and infectious diseases.
