Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to provide top-notch oral health care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities- Patient Preparation: Ensure patients feel comfortable and at ease before their examination.
- Instrument Sterilization: Properly sterilize dental instruments to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Initial Screenings: Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history to identify potential issues.
- Condition Identification: Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis and provide recommendations for treatment.
- Teeth Cleaning: Clean and protect patients' teeth by removing plaque and applying fluoride.
- Patient Education: Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care techniques, including good brushing habits.
- Post-Procedure Instructions: Provide patients with instructions on how to care for their teeth after dental procedures.
- X-Rays and Scans: Take X-rays or dental scans as needed to diagnose oral health issues.
- Treatment Recommendations: Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases, including oral cancer.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation and charts on each patient.
- Scheduling: Reschedule cancelled patients and recall patients without a next appointment scheduled.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession, including HIPAA.
- Equipment Maintenance: Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
- Communication: Outstanding communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Personality: A patient and friendly personality to provide a positive patient experience.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and treatment plans.
- Physical Demands: Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Credentials: Diploma in Dental Hygiene and a valid license to practice.
