Position Overview:

The Battery Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe operation and management of battery systems for all powered industrial trucks (PIT). This role includes maintaining, cleaning, and replacing batteries and connectors, ensuring a clean and safe working environment in the Battery Room, Hoist, and Battery Transporter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe changing of batteries for all PIT equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of battery systems.
  • Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) is utilized and maintained properly.
  • Maintain effective communication with Maintenance and Production Supervisors.

Work Schedule:

Swing Shift: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM / 5:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of industrial tools and mechanical/electrical components.
