About the Role

As a Lead Clerk in the Grocery Operations department at WinCo Foods, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores. Your primary responsibility will be to assist management in overseeing the daily activities of the grocery department, providing exceptional customer service, and leading by example.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide fast, friendly service to customers, answering their questions and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Leadership: Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Operations: Assist management in overseeing the daily activities of the grocery department, including monitoring customer traffic flow, ensuring the department is well-stocked, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and support to new employees, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles.
  • Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve any issues that may arise, using your problem-solving skills to find creative solutions.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail or grocery environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move rapidly, with the ability to lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 50 lbs.
