Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Systems Engineer to support our Navy Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development efforts.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience working with DoD platforms, weapon systems, and Command and Control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system security requirements in accordance with DoD, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Department of Navy (DoN), and Command Site security directives, standards, and processes.
  • Provide security engineering and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) analysis for the program, ensuring IA and security compliance within DoD, Navy, and Command Site local system Security directives.
  • Prepare and document security inputs for systems throughout the system's life cycle, working closely with all engineering disciplines.
  • Collect and import system security test results and other supporting security test analysis data.
  • Conduct laboratory, schoolhouse facilities, and shipboard verification of system security accreditation and documentation.
  • Perform cybersecurity testing to verify and validate system cybersecurity requirements.
Requirements
  • BS in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline desired or a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated professional systems engineering experience with a major DoD platform.
  • Five (5) years of experience with DoD major platform, weapon, Command and Control, or fire control systems program with concurrent experience as a team leader.
  • Three (3) years of cyber-security experience in preparing and submitting documentation for obtaining Navy/DoD security A&A for major weapon systems.
  • Active security clearance or the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
Working Conditions

General office and lab work environment.

Equipment Used

Computer and keyboard/mouse and other typical office processing equipment.

Essential Physical Tasks

Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse on a consistent basis. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. on a constant basis.

Written Communications

Responsible for error-free written reports and briefings.

Verbal Communications

Must be able to clearly and adequately communicate needs and requirements to internal staff, clients, and Program Managers.
