Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Medical Group-Leroy. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiology equipment, positioning patients, and securing support devices to perform procedures. You will also be responsible for determining appropriate radiographic techniques, securing patient histories, and adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiology equipment and position patients for procedures
  • Determine appropriate radiographic techniques and secure patient histories
  • Adhere to safety standards and ensure patient safety and quality care
  • Perform clerical duties, including maintaining patient records and answering telephones
  • Communicate with patients and provide excellent care
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including quality control tasks and preparing contrast media
Requirements
  • IDNS license and graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology
  • Knowledge of Health Information System and basic knowledge of radiology equipment
  • CPR certification and licensed by IDNS
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registered (ARRT)
Working Conditions

The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare providers. The position requires the ability to work independently, make independent professional decisions, and function with minimal assistance. The Radiologic Technologist will be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.

Addendum: Radiology Tech also performs all lab assistant duties and is trained by Federal Standards in Urine Drug and Breath Alcohol Testing.
