Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at Fesco. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting complex chemical analysis and interpretation of results. Your strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques will enable you to operate and maintain laboratory equipment with ease. Additionally, you will be required to perform quality checks on lab data and process reports sitting at a desk for 8+ hours. Responsibilities
  • Conduct lab analysis at benchtop during an 8+ hour day
  • Perform complex chemical analysis and interpretation of results
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Perform quality checks on lab data
  • Process reports sitting at a desk for 8+ hours

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Experience in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Ability to perform complex chemical analysis and interpretation of results
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a laboratory setting

Working Conditions
  • 24 hour on call during duty week
  • Maintain Class "C" driver's license with the ability to drive a company vehicle to job sites and field offices
  • Load and unload pelican cases and lab equipment weighing +/- 70 lbs
  • Work in all type of weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a toxic atmospheric environment (Hydrogen Sulfide Gas) while wearing a self-contained full-face sealed respiratory equipment weighing +/- 30 lbs
  • Ability to climb oil storage tank stairways while wearing a self-contained full-face sealed respiratory equipment weighing +/- 30 lbs
