About the Role
The Assembly Specialist is a key player in our production process at IDEX Corporation, responsible for assembling and finishing products partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all quality regulations and manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with a team to assemble entire products or components, utilizing assembly tools and equipment.
• Rotate through tasks for specific production processes, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Conduct quality inspections on products and parts, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
• Prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring accurate labeling and packaging.
• Position and assemble parts according to prints, utilizing measuring tools and following written and verbal instructions.
• Perform secondary operations as required, including hand/ultrasonic cleaning and sandblasting.
• Work to close tolerances on intricate small assembly work, demonstrating attention to detail and precision.
• Ensure manufacturing adherence to all quality regulations, maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience and/or training.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or related field, with a mechanical aptitude and familiarity with assembly tools and equipment.
• Quality assurance experience is a plus, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Manufacturing/Production environment, with movement within the office and around an active manufacturing/warehousing facility.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Required to wear safety glasses and utilize other safety equipment as required while present on the production floor.
