Job Description

At Virbac, we are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant production of our products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Standardize and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase robustness and compliance.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for existing processes, collaborating with the Industrial Operations Team.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process problems, determining root cause and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes through observations and measurements.
  • Support the site Corporate Risk Management program.
Key Areas of ResponsibilityArea of Responsibility 1: Technical Resource

As the primary technical resource for manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling, you will provide expertise and guidance to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of our manufacturing facilities.

Area of Responsibility 2: Process Documentation

You will develop and maintain process documentation and training materials to support the standardized processes and new product launches.

Area of Responsibility 3: New Product Development

You will provide process engineering recommendations to R&D during the development phases to ensure the development of new products that can be manufactured robustly and efficiently.

Area of Responsibility 4: New Product Launches

You will transition new products into production, working as a member of the technology transfer team to ensure that the new product meets production, quality, and compliance requirements.

Area of Responsibility 5: Production Training

You will support the development of general training material and serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Trainer for material directly related to process engineering knowledge.

Area of Responsibility 6: Continuous Improvement

You will participate in kaizen events, aiding in the development of new systems of support and providing the Quality perspective to proposed improvements.

Requirements
  • 5-7 years of increasing responsibility in a pharmaceutical cGMP environment.
  • Preferred BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Prior proven experience in processing powders (oral solid dose / granulation / compression).
  • Prior validated experience leading process improvement teams.
  • Prior experience in Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated industry.
  • Prior experience using lean and six sigma principles and tools preferred.
