The selected candidate will be responsible for providing triage services for pediatric patients via telephone, ensuring effective communication and care management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and messages from patients and healthcare providers.
- Conduct thorough telephone assessments of patients presenting with various medical concerns, utilizing established protocols to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Offer medical advice and recommendations based on assessment findings, ensuring a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Direct patients to suitable medical facilities or providers as necessary, following approved guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Evaluate refill requests from pharmacies, ensuring the necessity before forwarding to the healthcare provider.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and continuity of treatment.
- Manage recall tasks to facilitate follow-up care for patients.
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia LPN license.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment.
- Experience with Clear Triage software is advantageous.
Work Environment:
This position requires on-site work during standard business hours, with occasional Saturday shifts. The practice offers a competitive compensation package, including generous paid time off, health benefits, and a 401(k) plan with company matching.
