Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on creating a positive internal and external customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure efficient processing and organization of merchandise
  • Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
  • Communicate effectively with management and Associates to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
  • Monitor productivity of team and coach as necessary to ensure tasks and activities are completed according to store plan
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote a culture of honesty and integrity
  • Participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
Requirements
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Team player with ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation

This position has a starting pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
