TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
As a key member of the surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of surgical operations. This position requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare Operating Rooms: Sterilize instruments, arrange equipment and supplies, and ensure a sterile environment for procedures.
- Assist the Surgical Team: Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies during procedures, anticipating the needs of the team and responding promptly to requests.
- Maintain Sterile Techniques: Prevent infections and ensure patient safety by maintaining strict sterile techniques.
- Count Sponges, Needles, and Instruments: Ensure accuracy by counting sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
- Support Patient Care: Prepare and transport patients to the operating room as needed, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficiency and success.
- Certification: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent training preferred.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and operating room protocols.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Operates in a Sterile Environment: Works in a sterile environment within hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, or specialized surgical clinics.
- Flexible Schedule: May require standing for long periods, lifting/moving equipment or patients, and working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on surgical schedules.
