- Maintain confidentiality of customer nonpublic information at all times.
- Thoroughly review every service repair order and/or parts invoice for accuracy and completeness.
- Transfer necessary information from hardcopy repair orders to digital formats.
- Calculate applicable material or shop supplies charges for each repair order.
- Accurately determine the total retail price for parts, fluids, materials, labor, and taxes.
- Collect payments from customers in cash, check, or authorized charge accounts.
- Provide customers with appropriate change and receipts.
- Document charge purchases in accordance with office manager policies.
- Calculate and enter warranty charges as required.
- Complete the accounting section of repair orders as directed.
- Accumulate all repair orders and parts invoices closed during the business day for daily business office submission.
- Maintain effective labor rate control forms as directed by management.
- Handle cash transactions accurately in the assigned money box.
- Control keys associated with completed repair orders and return them to customers upon payment.
- File repair orders as instructed by service department management.
- Answer service department calls, transferring them to the appropriate personnel or taking messages when necessary.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
