Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Press Helper at Banknote Corp of America. As a key member of our printing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality security documents that meet or exceed customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Press Operator in printing high-quality security documents, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Press Operator to ensure smooth press operations, including tasks such as changing rolls, washing and cleaning press components, and troubleshooting common issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining a well-organized workspace by adhering to established procedures for inventory management, waste reduction, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Monitor print quality, color consistency, and adherence to customer specifications, communicating any deviations or concerns to the Press Operator promptly.
  • Actively adhere to all safety protocols, security regulations, and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including weights, measures, fractions, and decimals, to accurately measure and calculate materials.
  • Some previous printing or bindery experience is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with printing processes and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude: Ability to grasp the fundamental principles of machinery operation and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Good visual acuity and color vision: Ability to discern subtle color variations and ensure accurate color reproduction.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods hours) and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including day and night hours.
  • Adherence to Security: Must consistently uphold stringent security and safety regulations related to the printing of security documents.
