Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to patients in various settings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring the delivery of safe care and participating in performance improvement activities.
- Delegate care and participate in delegation of care to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote safe and high-quality patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) or equivalent.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
- A nurse returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.
- On-call requirements with a 30-minute response time.
