Virtual Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Tia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the mental health care experience for our patients. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, conducting psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and referrals. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
About You:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is committed to delivering exceptional care. You will be responsible for:
- Conducting responsible and compassionate psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and referrals.
- Working closely with the clinical team to develop robust treatment plans and provide high-quality care.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Staying up-to-date with current trends and best practices in mental health care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with an active and unrestricted license in the state of California.
- At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
- Confidence prescribing, titrating, refilling, and monitoring psychotropic medications in all 5 major classes.
- Experience with adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, substance use and dependence, cognitive impairment, bipolar spectrum, attention-related disorders, postpartum depression, schizoaffective disorders, sleep disorders, and acute psychosis.
- Knowledge and expertise in facilitating extended mental healthcare interventions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
