Job Description

Job Title: Collections Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Artifact Management: Assist in the evaluation, acquisition, and cataloging of three-dimensional historical artifacts.
  • Storage Planning: Collaborate with the curator to plan and arrange storage space, ensuring provenance and adherence to museum standards.
  • Research Assistance: Support reference requests, conduct database searches, and provide extensive research services to satisfy high-level projects.
  • Collection Records: Maintain accurate records of collections management efforts using the collections management system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in history, museum studies, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of experience in museum collections management, including accessioning, cataloging, and rehousing of three-dimensional objects.
