Seal Coat Laborer

At Rose Paving, we are seeking a skilled Seal Coat Laborer to join our team. As a Seal Coat Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our parking lot maintenance services.

• Coordinate daily labor activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Operate various maintenance equipment to perform tasks such as seal coating, asphalt repairs, and crack sealing.
• Maintain and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Communicate daily with project managers to ensure project status is up-to-date.
• Ensure all materials are installed according to specifications and Rose Paving standards.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and pre-job checklists.
• Enter data on job sheets for material, equipment, and labor for job costing.
• Responsible for traffic control at job sites, including signage and barricades.
• Prevent overweight tickets by ensuring company trucks are loaded correctly.
• Evaluate situations and suggest changes to increase efficiency.
• Act as a problem solver to reduce work issues and assist workers in solving challenges.
• Estimate crew hours for completion of assignments.
• Confer with supervisors to coordinate fieldwork.
• Build customer relationships by introducing yourself to clients upon arrival.
• Operate within budgetary constraints.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain a service and maintenance program on all equipment.
• Participate in employee evaluation programs.
• Follow company policies, including drug and substance abuse and sexual harassment policies.
• Encourage and initiate cross-training when appropriate.
• Investigate continuing education opportunities for personal and crew development.
• Enforce personal and field safety protection.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Broad understanding of Rose Paving's business and proven abilities in seal coating and other services.
• Ability to apply basic geometry concepts.
