We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Stepdown Unit at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Unit, including implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and revising patient care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, and educate patients and their families on health and wellness.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required for Critical Care areas.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move patients as needed.
