Job Summary
The Associate Optometrist is a key leader in the organization, responsible for delivering high-quality Optometric care to patients. This role requires collaboration and teamwork to ensure all patients receive exceptional service.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
- Demonstrate commitment to exceed results through strong competency in KPI management and high accountability.
- Ensure the Brand is known as the leading optical provider within the community.
- Operate as a successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
- Place the patient/customer first and deliver excellent service.
- Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
- Convey a commitment to providing unsurpassed Patient Service through ensuring staff performs the following Service Process steps:
- Address all patients/customers' visual lifestyle needs.
- Make eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers' needs.
- Explain each step of the eye exam; listen carefully to patients/customers.
- Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure patients understand each aspect of their vision, eye health, and overall well-being.
- Communicate effectively with patients the need for annual eye exams. Ensure all patients are appointed in TAB for their next eye exam.
- Conduct all services in accordance with protocol and accepted standards of care.
- Ensure all patients receive accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
- Establish a positive Doctor/patient relationship.
- Utilize and leverage effectively all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.
- Ensure office systems are maintained.
- Maintain State Licensure in good standing and practices to the full scope of that license, responsible for maintaining Continuing Education requirements.
- Provide effective training and guidance to team members making use of Company provided programs.
- Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner to all associates.
- Create a positive culture linked to the corporate culture; identify what motivates each individual and direct conversations and actions appropriately.
- Encourage associate decision-making at the level closest to the patient.
- Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
- Take pride in the appearance of the office.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all associates/patients.
- Lead by example.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry
