Position: Registered Nurse
Overview: The role of a registered nurse encompasses the provision of comprehensive nursing care and procedures within a clinical environment. This position involves executing medical tasks as assigned by physicians or physician assistants, as well as overseeing and guiding the nursing activities delegated to LPNs and MAs. Additionally, registered nurses will undertake clerical, laboratory, and other responsibilities as required by the office manager, physician, and physician assistant. This full-time position reports to the Clinic Supervisor/Assistant Director of Clinic Operations and is situated within the Mohs Surgery specialty.
Work Schedule: Monday to Wednesday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with alternating half days on Thursday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in medical procedures while demonstrating up-to-date knowledge and skills in nursing to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with providers to establish treatment plans and deliver care.
- Conduct patient assessments over the phone to formulate care plans.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and the public to foster a professional healthcare atmosphere.
- Stay informed on updates to electronic health records (EHR) and ensure accurate documentation in patient files.
- Process medication refills accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications & Attributes:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a variety of responsibilities.
- Proficient data entry skills and familiarity with computer applications.
- Organized with a keen attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, colleagues, and physicians.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion.
