Job Responsibilities

The Hydro Vac Operator is responsible for driving and operating the Super Vacuum Truck to transport and dispose of various fluids related to oil field operations, including fresh water, brine water, frac fluids, and drilling mud. The primary focus is to ensure the safety of all personnel on-site while maintaining efficient operations.

Key Duties Include:
  • Operating high-pressure pumps using various controls.
  • Monitoring equipment gauges and hand signals to assess job conditions.
  • Managing hoses and pipes between the truck and wellhead.
  • Ensuring safe operating procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and security.
  • Adhering to all D.O.T. regulations and maintaining driver qualification records.
  • Completing paperwork accurately and ensuring all transactions are documented.
  • Representing the company professionally while in uniform.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensuring compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL A driver.
  • Possession of a valid CDL A license.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Tanker and HazMat endorsements are preferred.
  • Compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier D.O.T. requirements.
  • Current D.O.T. medical certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Ability to interpret driving routes and safety regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Completion of CDL training from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in the energy sector is a plus.
