Job Summary

Martinrea International Inc. is a leading global automotive supplier seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process hourly payroll weekly and prepare payroll-related journal entries for labor, expenses, and deductions.
  • Apply cash received from customers daily and review customer accounts for aging.
  • Process customer debit and credit memos and prepare various monthly accounts receivable reports.
  • Reconcile unapplied cash and process customer retroactive price adjustments.
  • Support the plant's commitment to internal and external customer quality.

Requirements:

  • College degree and/or extensive payroll/AR experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound planning and organizational skills.
  • General accounting knowledge.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office software, especially Excel.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Over-time may be required and is expected.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to view a computer monitor for up to and over 8 hours a day.

  • Compliance with all OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure training and compliance of all company Health and Safety training and OSHA regulations of team members.
