Job Overview

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for conducting requirements analysis and designing high-level system architectures to formulate system requirements specifications for installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting. This role involves guiding users in defining their needs, recommending alternative solutions, and performing feasibility assessments. The engineer will provide technical guidance for the integration of requirements, design, and technology within a cloud framework.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, configuring, and installing software for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborating directly with development teams and system end-users.
  • Reviewing and testing infrastructure components to ensure compliance with design specifications and documenting test outcomes.
  • Addressing reported system issues effectively.
  • Employing infrastructure/cloud engineering methodologies suited for various environments.
  • Contributing specific insights to system design, focusing on hardware/software trade-offs and the use of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) solutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering in similar programs and contracts.
  • Four (4) years of experience with cloud-related technologies.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
