To succeed in the role of Maintenance Technician at FGF Brands, you must be a highly skilled worker who maintains and repairs machinery in a plant or factory environment. The ideal candidate will be able to detect minor problems and correct them before they become major by using Preventive Maintenance techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks using checklists to optimize machine inspections, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
- Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems.
- Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions.
- Adjust working parts such as drive belts, pulleys, drive chains, and sprockets, using hand tools or power tools.
- Scrape and clean units or parts using cleaning solvents and equipment such as buffing wheels.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunction using factory authorized technical manuals and interpret basic electrical diagrams.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in a maintenance environment.
- Must have good attention to detail. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
- Good communications skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast paced maintenance environment.
- Knowledge of industrial tools and test equipment.
- Proven ability to repair industrial maintenance components such as motors, pumps, gearboxes, belt and chain driven components, etc.
- Extensive knowledge and comprehension of PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to work overtime with little notice and be on-call before/after normal business hours.
